luca, you make my heart sing... thank you for your patience as i drag your little butt out of the car on a whim... because the wildflowers are so beautiful.... the alleyway is just too cool... your smile is so big... or the ocean is too blue to pass up... i just can't help but to photograph you... always. you are my world and i want to remember every second. i love you, my beautiful, beautiful boy.

luca . rainy days

hope everyone is enjoying the rainy days! 

luca is finally able to break in his thomas the tank engine attire :) 

I'll be heading to WPPI this week (Feb. 15-19) but will do my best to respond to all emails & phone calls while in the convention. vegas, baby, vegas! 

lucas . dancing + airplanes = a nice way to pass the time

So, at almost two years old; dancing requires no music.... but stops immediately upon the site of an airplane....

and an adorable tiny voice peeps "bu-bye" as the plane soars by.

lucas . a walk in the rain

couldn't resist! it was sprinkling last week so we brought the umbrella along on our morning walk... he thought it was the coolest thing!!!! his expressions make me melt; click on each spread to enlarge the images...

. happy holidays .

I just LOVE this time of year; from Thanksgiving to New Year's is such an amazing time; I love it all-- call me crazy, but even the long shopping lines are fine by me. This year I took on cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. Above is the photograph of my very first turkey and me --oh and the clenched waving fists is my happy/excited motion; not sure why i do this but am well aware it looks goofy :)
I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out so back up plans were in place (take out!!) But ultimately, it was a great dinner and I was oh so proud! My first turkey!!! I made lemon & herb turkey, butternut squash with pesto, mashed potatoes, salad, and a cranberry apple relish---I owe it all to http://www.epicurious.com/ (my food haven) SO fun!! Now, I just need to work on timing; hot food is always nicer, but I guess that'll come with time and until then, my family will patiently enjoy lukewarm dining :) Wish me luck for this Christmas' dinner!!!!

. lucas . a year and a half old now!

He's getting so big! I haven't posted photos for awhile of my little man, Luca, so here's an update! the table walking (above) is a dreadful game he played for about a week straight. i couldn't turn around without him climbing up and dancing... thank goodness he's moved on to something safe, such as turning on + off the lights repeatedly.
