skye blu photography: cathy + curtis . the wedding

Cathy found me at a bridal show almost four years ago as she began her wedding coordination business; we started our companies at about the same time. :) We connected and exchanged business info. She enjoyed my work (and I enjoyed hers) and at that point, vowed that I would photograph her wedding someday (I took it lightly; not knowing if it was schmoozing or sincerity-- sorry Cathy, but you never know!!!) We kept in touch, and then last year, I received the phone call. Cathy was engaged and wanted me to photograph the big day! I was incredibly honored and SO excited. http://www.c3weddings.com/ She's very detail oriented and has AMAZING ideas, always cute and unique. Just check out her invitations; handmade and SO cool. It was like a flip book, kinda. each page had a story, photos of the couple and their parents, the ceremony info, etc. (it can be seen in the photo next to the pink bouquet.) And her floral design was very different and beautiful. I thought this idea was really cool. The ceremony aisle went from pale pink, gradually changing to dark pink. She had two bouquets: the first matched her daytime pink ambience. But the evening mood was swanky; leather sofas in the corner, red mood lighting.... So, she had a red bouquet and darker colored decor to set that mood. It was really neat.

Anyhow, I met her fiance, Curtis and we all clicked. The big day was an absolute hit; her details shined amazingly, and knowing the ins and outs of coordination, she hired someone who really managed everything down to a tee.
