what? a free boudoir session?

I'm looking for a couple of women to photograph on Feb. 4th...The session will be filmed and used as a guideline for a new photographer instructional site, created by the amazing, Robert Evans. I've been asked to instruct/showcase a boudoir segment so I'll need someone who is comfortable having a small film crew present; along with having their photographs used in all forms of media. All body types/ethnicities are encouraged; I want my emphasis to be that this is a beautiful thing for all women. If you or someone you know is interested; please drop me a line with a current photograph and I'll be in touch with the details... Thank you so much, I'm on a time crunch and don't want to reschedule because i can't find someone!! that would be lame.

hair and make up is provided and the participating model will receive a disc of all images from the shoot.

nikki + kirk . the wedding

so as you can see from the decor; nikki + kirk were married in the fall. i know, i know... it's now way past the fall season. but its worth the wait!

some of my favorite highlights/moments:
. the officiant was nikki's grandpa and he gave such a heartfelt ceremony
. the groom's cake was designed to look like drums (since kirk is a drummer) i only wish i could snag a pic from his 80's band showing off his rocker hair and oh-so-cool attitude :) please, kirk?
. trees with autumn color leaves were placed throughout the locale, creating such a cool ambiance
. nikki and her dad had the coolest father/daughter dance i have ever seen. they danced like crazy, beautiful, silly, happy goofballs, moving and coordinating the cutest steps. it was GREAT. I really haven't seen such an adorable, healthy f/d dance. i LOVED it.
. the ceremony was at sunset giving it such a warm glow...
. favors were apples and snacks that guests could pack into a custom paper bag, see below. it was hysterically cute photo of nikki + kirk's faces pasted on the classic painting...

overall, there was a ton of love and excitement in the room and i was SO happy to be there.
thanks a bunch guys, it's been wonderful keeping in touch and i look forward to seeing you both and mina & nat soon...

Seventeen, CosmoGirl & Teen Prom magazines . Spring 2008

Looked on my doorstep and had a surprise! The new issues of Seventeen Prom, CosmoGirl Prom, and Teen Prom just hit the newstands... (which in itself isn't pertinant to my needs as I am reminded that my 10 year high school reunion is approaching...) However, I photographed a shoe campaign for Marichi Mani and here are the ads!

dorothy + henry . the wedding

i met dorothy + henry last year at caroline + jonathan's wedding; dorothy was the maid of honor. it was wonderful to see the familiar circle of friends and family once again. the wedding colors were so unusual, aqua and red.. it was beautiful; so eye catching! Dorothy had many cool details, being she is a wedding coordinator herself! a signature drink showing off those colors, red velvet cake (also continuing the theme), her new name and wedding date sewn into her gown in blue stitching... The table numbers were photographs of the couple in cute poses framed and holding numerical signs to represent table #s. Once the wedding is over, they will fill those frames with the accompanying table shot. cool way to use the table shots! Perhaps the coolest thing was the wedding gown itself. she had two-- her second gown was her mother's wedding dress! (see the photo below to see both gowns)

judy + keith . the wedding

Judy + Keith had a dreamy pink wedding at one of my favorite locations... La Venta Inn.
together they were married in front of their closest family and friends in a an intimate ceremony of 40 people. Looking closely, you can see the Eiffel Tower design (covered in pink flowers and engagement session photographs) at the entrance; a homage to the proposal which occurred in Paris at the tower! Such a cute idea!
